About this Event
IndabaX Kenya 2025 — the Maseno University AI Summit — was held from 18th to 20th June 2025 at Maseno University, hosted with the Maseno Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (MCAAI).
The hybrid three-day summit brought together students, researchers, academics, tech professionals, and entrepreneurs from across Kenya and beyond for keynote talks, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, project showcases, and networking.
Highlights:
• 20+ speakers from Microsoft Research Africa, IBM Research Africa, Mozilla, Jacaranda Health, CIPIT, and leading universities
• Talks spanning LLMs for African languages, AI in healthcare, governance and policy, climate action, and cybersecurity
• Hands-on workshops on building AI agents and speech technologies
