Meet the four brilliant high school students who won the 2026 International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) Kenyan Chapter and will represent Kenya on the world stage.

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2026 International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) Kenyan Chapter! After a competitive national selection, four outstanding high school students have earned the chance to represent Kenya: Mike Mongare of Kabianga Boys High School (Form 4), Tumaini Makena of Kenya High School (Form 3), Emmanuel Jones of Lukenya Boys High School (Form 3), and Faith Kiige of St. Francis Misyani Girls High School (Form 3). Over the coming months, the four winners will receive dedicated training and support to prepare them for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026, taking place from 2nd to 8th August 2026 — where they will compete alongside the world's brightest young AI talents. This achievement is made possible by our partners: Mwaiton Consultancy Services, the Deep Learning Indaba, Joasher Technologies & Consultancy, and Elimika Research Institute. Congratulations to Mike, Tumaini, Emmanuel, and Faith — Kenya is behind you all the way!
